What did you enjoy about Honors Precalculus with Trigonometry (OM013)?

Math is one of my favorite subjects, so I really enjoyed the course content. Beyond that though, the class itself had a good amount of work and wasn’t overwhelming.

What challenged you the most in Honors Precalculus with Trigonometry (OM013)? How did you overcome those challenges?

The weekly problem sets were probably the most challenging part of the class for me. One way I combated that though was attending office hours, which was extremely helpful!

What tips do you have that could be useful to students taking Honors Precalculus with Trigonometry (OM013)?

Attending office hours and reviewing class slides was super helpful! I would also recommend taking notes during the lecture videos that you have to watch before class, because it really helped me remember and grasp the content.

About how much time did you spend a week working on assignments and preparing for discussion sessions in Honors Precalculus with Trigonometry (OM013)?

I would usually spend 6 hours a week.

What did the typical week in Honors Precalculus with Trigonometry (OM013) look like?

Typically I would watch all the lectures for that week either early on in the week or the week before. Then I would complete some of the homework and attend class. Later in the week I would complete the problem set and attend office hours if I needed clarification on anything.

What was your favorite topic covered in Honors Precalculus with Trigonometry (OM013)?

I particularly enjoyed learning about conic sections.

Do you have any resources (i.e. study tips, useful websites) to share with students who want to take the course?

Whenever I was stuck on a topic reaching out to other students and attending office hours would usually be the most helpful. Looking at the practice problems in the textbook itself was super useful as well!
