I loved having the freedom to dig into texts and write about the things that interested me.

Evenly distributing my time. While reading and class prep are not very time demanding, essays are definitely more time intensive, so starting early was important.

My class didn’t have any midterms or finals - just essays.
What are the major assignments (i.e. essays) for this class? How would you recommend approaching these assignments?
Essays are the major assignment. Reading the texts, staying engaged in class discussions, and receiving feedback from your teacher and WTC Online instructors and tutors on your papers will help you succeed.
What tips do you have that could be useful to students taking Literary Analysis and Argumentation (OE009)?
While talking in class can be scary, it is an amazing opportunity to bounce your ideas off your classmates and instructors and can often spark essay ideas.

2-3 hours

From what I can remember, you will have to read before both classes and write a short response to some questions before the Tuesday/Thursday class
What was your favorite topic covered in Literary Analysis and Argumentation (OE009)?
Reading the Great Gatsby is really fun!
Do you have any resources (i.e. study tips, useful websites) to share with students who want to take the course?
My biggest tip is to enjoy (and spend time on) the readings, engage in class discussion, and invest time in developing ideas and organizing your papers
Go to office hours, attend WTC Appointments, and work with friends to work on your essays!
